INFO: Amaro is Italian for 'bitter', and is commonly used as a digestif following meals. There are hundreds of amari on the market, and has been used to make mixed drinks and cocktails for over 100 years. Ideally served neat at room temperature, and best with meat dishes, Mediterranean dishes, Hawaiian pizza and either Hispanic or Jamaican dishes.
